a mini-reunion and was a chance for the latest generation of RAPTCIs to meet their predecessors.
Looking forward, the event will be conducted in May & September 2024, with Regional Association branches conducting their own initiatives to help support the cause. Since starting in January 2020, RAPTC Tin Phys has generated over 18,000 donations and still counting
Millennium Stadium Touch Rugby. As part of a Service Veteran’s Day, on 22 Mar the Millennium Stadium opened its doors to Welsh units in support of the IRB initiative in developing touch rugby. “Lots of tries”, they said in this fun event; little did they know of the competitive edge of a squaddie. Great fun was had by all with the Corps, current and past, making the bulk of the 160 Brigade team.

Another year goes by and the rain does not seem to stop here in Wales; tropical#..not! However, this has not stopped the Branch supporting its members and taking part in some cracking events on our doorstep.
Lt Col (Retd) Gary Jones continues as Chair and Treasurer with me providing the “fun” as Secretary. Mick Ford admirably continues to provide our Standard Bearer duties when called upon. Hopefully, we will bolster our team in the upcoming AGM.
RATC Tin Phys – Pen y Fan Summit. On Saturday 23 September 2023, RAPTCIs past and present combined efforts with the Curtis Palmer Programme, an Emergency Services Charity that supports Military veterans. Together, they assisted former LBdr Ben Parkinson (the most injured Soldier to survive the Op HERRICK conflict), to the summit of Pen y Fan, Brecon, in his adapted tricycle. The event was in support of the Trussell Trust Foodbank Charity, where each participant brought along a minimum of 1 x tinned/ long life donation.
With a first invitation to the Veteran cohort, the event was an extension to the annual RAPTC Tin Phys initiative started by WO2 (QMSI) Liam Baldwin RAPTC, where units are encouraged to dedicate 1 x PT session in support of Foodbank donations throughout the month of September. A fantastic team effort overall, with over 200 items donated, as well as £430.00 raised which all went directly to the Trussell Trust Organisation. The event served as
