heading off for a very well-earned break. Summer leave was fol- lowed immediately by the arrival of Lieutenant Colonel James Porter, who would be taking over command from Lieutenant Colonel Justin Kingsford, who had commanded The King’s Royal Hussars from Canada to Poland and many places in between dur- ing his two years as Commanding Of cer.
With the Regiment back in full swing in Tidworth under a new command, C Squadron looked east and made their way to Poland as part of the 1st Battalion, the Yorkshire Regiment Battlegroup. They would spend the next two months taking part in a NATO exercise alongside their Polish counterparts to demonstrate their ability to cooperate with international partners. While C Sqn were away, A, B and D Squadrons packed their bags and vehi- cles and headed up to Castlemartin to complete their annual r- ing camps. They managed to achieve a good standard of ring
