Have you always been a teacher? Yes, but I’m not going to tell you how many years that is!
What makes Prince William so special? The students. They are amazing – polite, considerate, enthusiastic, ambitious, talented, funny and inspiring.
If you were granted one wish for the school, what would it be? I’m looking forward to the buildings programme planned for the school by the Trust being completed as soon as possible, because then we will have amazing new facilities from which all our students can benefit.
Your favourite place in the school?
Out on the playground or field at break or lunch time watching students play football or basketball together like a massive happy family.
Who makes you laugh? My husband and family, my colleagues, the students. I laugh out loud several times a day.
Proudest moment? January 2020 – Ofsted
judged Prince William School to be a ‘Good’ school again, for the first time since 2011. Dinner out or at home? Home with my
husband.
...and a favourite tipple to go with it? A glass
of wine.
You have a day off, what do you do?
Browse Rightmove for idle curiosity over a lazy breakfast, go for a walk along the river, skype my children, complete a crossword (cryptic), read my book and watch a film with Dodger, our cat, curled up on my lap.
If money was no object, where would you visit? The Grand Canyon.
Any future ambitions? To lead Prince William School to ‘Outstanding’, of course!
What brings you joy? My family. I have a wonderful husband and we have three amazing children and one grandchild (so far!) I love it when we are all together. We share so much fun and laughter together.
