Declutter and donate
If you enjoy a look through pre-loved items
to find a few treasures or are Oundle based
and want to pass on your no-longer-needed
belongings, the next Declutter & Donate event
is just for you!
Many of you will remember the Declutter &
Donate days we held in Oundle during Covid,
when people had tidied up their homes and
wanted to let things go to a good cause, but
the charity shops were closed. Well, following
requests, we are delighted to announce that we
have decided to hold the next one on
Saturday 31st May from noon to 4pm.
People who have space outside their
homes, or an accessible garage, can
hold the sale there; those who have
not will be able to use a central hub in town.
You can sell most things – books, bric-a-brac,
toys, clothes, furniture, tools, baby items etc.
Some people have kindly offered to provide
refreshments and/or chairs so people can sit
down and have a breather – and of course we
have our lovely cafés in town too.
The volunteer organisers will be drawing up

a map of where the sites are. It will be available
on the Transition Oundle website, where you
can print it off before or photograph on the day.
If you are interested in having a stall,
please let us know as soon as possible on
DeclutterOundle@gmail.com. We will finalise
the map on 17th May.
Many people donated the proceeds to their
favoured charity and over £3,000 has been
raised for local charities from the last events.
If the weather looks to be inclement, we
will make a last-minute call the day
before as to whether we proceed – if
it is raining heavily, people will be less
keen to come and browse – but we are
hoping for a sunny, bright, dry day!
So do put the date in your diaries – whether
you are interested in buying or selling. Please let
us know if you would like to have a space.
