On completion, it was time for the OCdts and Simon to return for closedown of the adventur- ous training. After getting things cleaned and the boat wiped down, it was time for the cer- tificates to be handed out. All members of the crew made the grade and there are now two more competent crew members and two Day Skippers ready to set sail on another sea bound adventure. Thank you to all those at JSASTC and a huge thank you to Simon for being such a knowledgeable mentor and for allowing us to have such an enjoyable trip.

UK’s premier picnic concerts raise record amount for military charity for the second year running!
The Battle Proms, summer celebrations with live music and dramatic Spitfire, cannon, cavalry and firework displays, have been supporting military charities for many years. In 2018 they joined forces with SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, raising funds for and awareness of their vital work in the armed forces community.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Bat- tle Proms audience and donations made from concert profits, a phenomenal £54,640 was
