                                 Gheluvelt Company
‘Gheluvelt Company’ has been formed and all officers of the Mercian Regiment or its antecedent Regiments, serving or retired, Regular or Reserve, are automatically members. Gheluvelt Company provides a framework for engagement, networking, and social interaction, which will include
an annual networking event, quarterly updates from Commanding Officers, and Regimentally themed excursions. It will also promote and foster the Mercian Regiment Association and the Mercian Mentoring Programme.

The centrepiece of Gheluvelt Company’s annual routine will be the final Thursday
of every October (the one closest to the anniversary of the Battle of Gheluvelt on 31
LinkedIn and will be Gheluvelt Company’s single point of social media output. All serving and retired officers are encouraged to join this group and share opportunities, events and build their network.

officers who are not currently signed up
to receive Gheluvelt Company detail can e-mail Sam at Regimental Headquarters (communications@mercianregiment. co.uk). Your information will be ‘owned’ by RHQ MERCIAN and drawn upon by OC Gheluvelt Company for the purposes of engagement only. Any officer may opt out of Gheluvelt Company at any point via the same means.

Gheluvelt Company draws together and maintains the central tenet of the Regiment as a family. Demand for it is clear and it will succeed through the engagement of serving and former officers across our former and current cohorts. By the time this version of the Eagle is landing on tables and doormats around the world, Gheluvelt Company will already have had some notable inaugural events to build upon. We look forward to your engagement in the future.
