Due to the global pandemic, the number of cases received
in 2020 is lower than in previous years. Many caseworkers struggled to complete casework during the first national lockdown due to not being able to conduct face-to-face inter- views, but many found other ways of working by the time the second national lockdown happened and the number of cases we received returned to expected levels for that time of year.

If you need financial assistance from The Rifles, you have two options: you should contact either SSAFA or The Royal British Legion via their websites. They will allocate a caseworker, who will complete a Form
A with you. The Form A is loaded onto the case management system (CMS) and sent to us. This is the best way to ask for help as it enables us to involve other service charities, such as The Royal British Legion or the Army Benevolent Fund, if we need to and you have the help of a caseworker throughout.
