Our mission has been to seek out quick-impact, commercial off-the- shelf systems that will contribute to our fight-tonight lethality and surviv- ability. As self-confessed technology enthusiasts with shared interests in coding, e-sports and building drones (as well as counter drone systems) what was not to like about this role! After securing £100,000 worth of defence innovation funding to spend on whatever we liked the look of, we have now acquired 5 different RPAS variants that have the supporting governance structures in place to fly them on exercises and operations around the world.
