which she saw on her way to school was a replica of the Isaac fountain in the Market Square in Northampton.
During our first visit to the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad museum, we did make some enquiries about the resto- ration plans for the Fitzgerald fountain but were informed that nothing was planned for the immedi- ate future. We were of course disappointed to see the structure in a poor state of repair at the time.
However in December 2018, Jona was contacted by Peter Perkins, Secretary of the Northampton- shire Industrial Archaeology Group (NIAG) about a book he was writing on E.H.Barwell. He had read Jona’s profile on the BBC website. This led to us meeting him to show some photographs we
