 Thanks to the new Oundle
School Sports Centre we
now have access to 14
exclusive outdoor netball
courts with sunken posts and two indoor courts with sprung wooden floor.
The town is in need of a netball club!
Oundle Town Netball Club will launch on 18/19th Sept 2021 – the brainchild of former International Netballer – Alex Wood-Davis (known in the netball world as Alex Astle) with the assistance of Head of Netball at Oundle School, Bev Burnham.
Alex gained 48 international caps for England, went to two World Netball Championships (gaining a bronze medal at the 1999 World Netball champs) and competed at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. She also played in the first ever world team against New Zealand in 2000. Standing at just under 6'3" tall, you may have seen her around town!

The Sports Centre are arranging a ‘Back to Netball’ programme which aims to provide an opportunity for players who have perhaps been out of the game due to having children, haven’t played since school, or may be completely new to the game. The club will then provide an outlet to those players who want to continue to play
    a wealth of experience at all levels of the sport, that they are keen to share with the community of Oundle and Surrounding villages!
We want to run a mixed league next spring
once the programme ends.
