Celebrating Northamptonshire Health Charity 2020’s Fundraisers
16-year old cycles 140 miles coast-to-coast
16-year-old Edward Bishop-Bailey cycled 140 miles over three days, from Whitehaven to Sunderland, all by himself, raising money towards a trip to Botswana. Naturally this was cancelled. Following the care and treatment his mum Julie received for Breast Cancer, Ed chose to donate the £1,749 he raised to the Radiotherapy Department at Northampton General Hospital, to benefit all cancer patients receiving radiotherapy treatment.

Takeaway afternoon tea weekend
Each year presents a new challenge for
Sue Adkins’ Afternoon Tea Weekend. 2018 – scorching heatwave! 2019 – torrential downpours! 2020? A global pandemic! Going takeaway it sold more teas than ever before – 170 in total – raising £2,600 for the Diabetes Centre and oncology department at NGH. A long-standing supporter, Sue has raised over £6,000 in aid of the hospital for a range of departments.
