On 9th March 2023 OCdts and Directing Staff of Borneo Company CC222 took part in a physical challenge, raising money
for two charities: The ABF and The Sandhurst Trust.
Together, Borneo Company ran, cycled, and rowed 1962km, signifying the year in which British Army Gurkhas first moved to Brunei. They completed the challenge in 2hrs and 5mins, raised over £900 for the two charities, and not only developed the understanding and awareness of the great work that the chari- ties offer, but served to reinforce the company ethos, cohesion and team spirit leading into Ex DYNAMIC VICTORY.
A lot of work went in behind the scenes to ensure success, bringing together a variety of departments across the Academy to secure the equipment and facilities required.
The event day itself went very smoothly. A strong team from Borneo collected all the Wattbikes and rowing machines from across the Academy into Oman Hall, and also set up the HQ and running station at the front of New College.

awareness of the resources available to them as future leaders within the field army.
Relentlessly chasing down the distance, the effort from across the company in completing the event was truly inspiring with every single participant working as hard as they could. The total distance was achieved in 2hrs and 5mins and showcases the incredible work put in from Borneo Company, setting them up for success on their final exercise.
