 CRUISING REPORTS
 RSYC CRUISING
The season began with well attended Frostbite Winter events at Marchwood and the Hamble.Weather and logistics played foul through the summer
and unfortunately several arrangements had to be abandoned. The Group Me App provided opportunities for impromptu gatherings in Cherbourg, Brixham and the Solent, so if you haven’t signed on to the system with the office then please do so.
Boules on the Beach in Bembridge was a great success and a sunny end to the cruising season as unfortunately as Storm Force 10 blew through the Solent Newtown Creek was cancelled. The Laying Up supper not only celebrated an early Thanksgiving but provided insight to the events for 2020.
We have narrowed next year’s events and tied up with Social for Cruisers to bring boats to Gins specifically for the 4th of July Mayflower tribute. We are working towards
a Summer Cruise to tie in with the 400th Commemoration of the Mayflower departure from Southampton to America. For local events we plan a “You might be interested in” list of attractions to connect through Group Me as well as an Eastward cruise to Deauville. Keep an eye out for Cruising notices and be sure to register your interest.
The Committee needs more members so please join us to ensure RSYC Cruising provides what you deserve.
