COMPANY TRAINING
Walk-through talk-through of the principles of a section attack and platoon attack performed by NCOs from NWOTR from a vantage point
of Nicosia, a remnant of the civil war and a reminder of the civilian experience of war, with one Greek half and one Turkish half separated by
a UN controlled buffer zone, surprising some of us when stepping into innocuous alleyways and coming face to face with GPMGs!
Overall this was an incredible experience for
all OCdts, and we thank all of the staff from the NWOTR who worked tirelessly through every night to ensure all of the elements proceeded smoothly to put on a training package of the highest quality. I think it is safe to say all of
us came through it wiser, hardier, with more enthusiasm than ever to tackle the rest of the Reserve Commissioning Course, and with deeper insight to our own attributes, leadership qualities and the principles behind what it means to be a British Army Officer.

Advanced (Mafeking) Wing Training
OCdts in Advanced Wing have spent 2 or more years learning the fundamentals of military
and leadership training during Modules A & B. Advanced Wing training allows them to practice and further develop the skills and experiences they have already learnt. The weekends are designed to be diverse and challenging but also fun.
As well as their own, separate training, Advanced Wing support larger CUOTC events
such as Exercise EXECUTIVE STRETCH. This is an annual Brigade sponsored event, designed for civilian executives to learn leadership skills from
a military perspective. Advanced Wing Officer Cadets facilitated the organisation and running of this one day event ensuring its smooth running and ultimate success.
A number of other Advanced Wing weekends are described below by OCdts.
