We have now pretty much had all renewals from our old traditional renewal date of 1st January, with just a few Societies yet to renew and have now started to process renewals from the influx of new members who joined early in 2021. The membership dashboard as of 1st May 2022 indicates that
we appear not to have retained all of the new members who joined in 2021 with over 220 overdue or expired subscriptions recorded to date but appear to have retained around 90 or so of those new members.
Detailed statistics and trends are set out below in this report and notwithstanding my earlier comments, the trends are all encouraging in that membership is shown to be increasing across all Branches, some more than others but are still down against the March 2020 numbers, except for the Southern Branch which is up by over 60 members.
Recent circumstances have prevented us from initiating discussions with White Fuse but we hope to be able to engage with them in the near future to make the membership system more user friendly. One enhancement that White Fuse have done is to provide the facility which allows members who pay by credit/debit card to update or change their card details online and the feedback received from members who have recently used this feature is very positive.
