News from the Trustees
RAYMOND HIGGINS FNVS NATIONAL ASSISTANT SECRETARY
The Spring trustees meeting was
held on the 11th of April via Zoom. Our Chair, Sandra Hall opened the meeting, welcoming all present. A special word of welcome was extended to Lesley Stone who will be co-opted on to the board as a Welsh Branch Trustee Rep. awaiting a formal vote by the Welsh Branch at their next Committee meeting (scheduled for 25th June)
The Membership forms are now updated to capture the new rolling membership system. The design has been tweaked slightly to reflect our website look and
feel and also to include a QR code which you can scan to link directly to the “join
us” page on the NVS web site. All old application forms need to be destroyed once the new forms reach the Branches and DA’s. Normal Dickinson issued a membership report in advance of the meeting and reported that our membership is holding for 2022 which is good news indeed.
A report was issued in advance of the meeting with a proposal on how we can get zoom recordings onto the website. The proposal was carried and the NVS now have a Viemo account which will allow
us to store, manage our video recordings online, keep them private and allow them to be posted as links on our website as member only benefits. All Zoom recordings are now available in the Library (members only) section along with 17 growing leaflets including Leeks which was added to the website in February.
Gareth Cameron updated the trustees
trials which have now commenced thanks to Marshalls & DT Brown. Jean Forrester issued a finance report in advance of the meeting which was warmly received.
At time of writing this report, the Trustees will meet again on May 23rd to focus a recently issued communications strategy report. The next Trustee meeting is scheduled for July 5th.
