JEWELLERY WORKSHOP AT GINS
Last October a small band of budding jewellers were given the opportunity to produce something amazing at our jewellery workshop. They were not disappointed!
The morning was spent designing and then carving their creations in wax, under the tutelage of award-winning designer and goldsmith, Jenny House of Origin 31.
Leaves, shells, pendants and rings all emerged from the blocks of blue wax, but how would they become jewels? We should not have been anxious. These humble items were sent off for casting using the lost wax process, Jenny then used her expertise to turn the resulting castings into shiny silver treasures. We are sure you will agree from
the photographs that the results are stunning. The workshop was so successful that we have offered another one in the spring and
I can’t wait to see what the next creations will be!
