I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am about the upcoming season, it has been too long since we had anything like a ‘normal’ year, my optimism tells me that 2022 will be a corker!
The support of the outgoing Flag Officers and Committee members over the last few years has been incredible and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all their hard work and commitment. I am looking forward to working with the newly elected incumbents, this is a wonderful opportunity to build on the momentum
of our efforts so far and to further drive all aspects of RSYC forward.
This is the part where I ask you, our valuable, loyal members, for your input... this is YOUR Club, and we genuinely want to ensure that we are developing
our offering both on and off the water to meet your desires. It is often by your input that new initiatives are tried out and then become a tremendous success; the Beer
Festival and the Beaulieu River Racing are both cases in point. Do not be shy, speak up and get involved!
All being well (finger crossed!) by the time this edition of The Yachter is published, our new website will have successfully launched, this will provide you with an easy- to-use resource where all the information you need is at your fingertips. It will evolve and additional functionality will be added
to the site as time goes on.To complement the website, the bi-weekly bulletin will be replaced with a shorter e-newsletter giving you headline information to click through to the website for greater detail.
There will no doubt be new members of the team joining us this year as well as new Club Members, so please do keep an eye
out for them and give them a warm RSYC welcome. Our Facebook page is something I would encourage you to be engaged with as that is often the first place you will see our latest news, photos, and information.
I am looking forward to seeing all of you throughout the season.
