Regional Representatives and Allotment Mentors
Along with their role on the Society’s Management Board, NAS Regional Representatives deal with local member issues and offer support to sites under threat of disposal. Your area may also have a regional panel, which meets on a regular basis to help and support the associations, federations
and members in the area, as well as general promotion of the allotment movement. If, as
a NAS member, you are keen to help support the allotment movement get in touch with your regional representative and nd out how the network works in your region.
Regional Representatives and Allotment Mentors also give advice and support around issues such as:
• where to go for funding
• how to set up an association
• becoming self-managed
• disability access
• different ways to promote your plots
• working with community groups
• what to do about security concerns
• setting up an allotment project.
