SAVING LIVES
Flying high in the skies and on the High Street
Every day of the year, the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance
is helping save more lives across Oundle and further afield, with its critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attending an
average of five rescue missions a day.
Within minutes they can be on the ground delivering lifesaving care at road traffic collisions, sports events, and industrial accidents or for medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, stroke, or accidents in the home. The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery.
The iconic yellow and grey helicopter
can fly at 185mph and carries the very latest lifesaving equipment.
The charity receives no government funding and relies entirely on public donations and income from its stores like the local Oundle store to raise the £1,700 needed for each lifesaving rescue mission.
Located on West Street, the Oundle boutique store is not only a great asset to people within the local community, but it also provides an invaluable source of funding for the vital charity.

Having opened its doors in July 2015, the store has generated £735,768 for the service – funding over 430 potentially lifesaving missions.
The store offers an extensive range of high-quality donated goods, branded goods and even a new goods range. From clothing, accessories
and jewellery, to bric-a-brac, books and many more items, there’s a great selection – all helping a worthy cause.
The boutique store is open seven days a week and it welcomes the Oundle community to visit.
