                                 ARTS AND CRAFTS
in Glapthorn
Glapthorn WI had a lovely meeting recently when members brought in examples of their crafts.
Gill Johnston displayed her models, drawings, and paintings, Naomi Sheehan with her
bobbin lace making, Sue Clews brought her patchwork, as well as other examples of sewing, patchwork, wall hanging and lino cuts. There was also knitting, family history, rushwork and graphology.
Glapthorn WI is a friendly WI that meets at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday every month in Glapthorn Village Hall. There is
a different speaker each meeting. In March,
Alison Williamson from Stamford Artisan Cheese, will tell us about her cheese making
– allowing us to taste her different varieties. In April, we welcome Jackie Ackroyd who will explain her work with Healthy Communities for Northamptonshire and introduce us to the game of Boccia.
As well as the meetings we have a Book Club, a Craft and Tea meet-up and an annual outing.
We welcome visitors and anyone interested should contact Sarah Mooney at glapthornvillagewi@gmail.com
