But it wasn’t until six years ago that they realised it would be the perfect backdrop for their foodie heaven vision and created Dexters restaurant. Favourite items on your menu? I love working with high quality steaks supplied by Trendall’s, whilst Marina’s favourite menu item is the seabass.
Does your menu change for Christmas?
No, but we offer a festive, three course menu throughout December with entertainment available on certain dates, which is great for group bookings and date nights alike.
Are your ingredients locally sourced? All our meat is supplied by Trendall’s, who work with local farmers and high quality butchers to offer
us the best of the best. Our wine is supplied
by Amps, tailored to our menu, and we source local produce and sustainably farmed fish from the market each week.
What is the best thing about your job? It’s a privilege to meet and cook for the wonderful variety of people who visit us at Dexters every day – catching up with regulars, welcoming large parties and offering a warm feel for a family dinner. We love our work, and our staff share our passion to offer the best service.
Igloos in Oundle? We love partnering with Be Unique Experiences, who are providing our igloos for a second year. They offer a really cool alternative to eating in the restaurant, with the opportunity to enjoy our fantastic food in a more private way. They’re perfect for smaller parties and we’ve seen some sights in them, from hen parties to a proposal!
