Scottish Branch – 200 Club
Thank you to all members who have submitted a Scottish Branch 200 club form, your support makes a big difference. 2023’s prize draws ran from March to Dec to allow for more applications to come in before we start.
Below are the draw results for 2023 at time of writing. Congratulations.
Our Scottish Branch members
will find a 200-club form with this magazine for 2024. You do not have to be a Scottish Branch member (or even an NVS member) to join, so please encourage friends and family too.
The prize draw is taken at the end of each month, so make sure you send
in your forms for 2024 or print an extra form or two from the web site which you can find a PDF copy in the “Resources” section of the NVS web site to enable you to print one out.
Alternatively please contact Gareth Cameron. 2 Dyke Nook, Yeathouse Road, Frizington, Cumbria CA26 3QL, Telephone: 07935 117 397 or email: garethcameron04@gmail.com
Prize money is dependent on how many 200 Club members we have
with half the revenue generated going towards the Scottish Branch funds and half going towards the 200 club prize money. Thanks again for your support, it really makes a difference.

Scottish Branch
Sponsorship
Officer
At our recent Committee meeting held in October ’23, Gareth Cameron advised that he was stepping down as Branch Sponsorship Officer.
Gareth joined the Scottish Branch in 2014 and was instantly in his element, wheeling and dealing with numerous company’s resulting in some great sponsorship deals for the branch whilst establishing some long term partners not only for the Scottish Branch, but for the NVS as a whole. Gareth was formally made Sponsorship Officer
of the branch back in 2015 and we have benefitted from all his hard work for many years.
Thankyou Gareth, from the Scottish branch, for your commitment and dedication and we look forward to you continuing as a valuable committee member and continuing to manage our 200 club.
If anyone is interested in taking on the role of Sponsorship Officer for the Scottish Branch, or wish to find out more, please just let a member of the Committee know.

Strulch – introduce the benefits
of mulching to your plot!
My husband Geoff invented Strulch at Leeds University.
We have been selling it since 2005 and it has grown in popularity because it is a quality organic product with a neutral pH that works on all soil types. It can be used anywhere in the garden including vegetables plots. Strulch works by blocking light which is needed for germination and the texture of Strulch together with added minerals deters slugs and snails.
Add to bare soil to stop weed germination and around plants when they reach a good size. We sell in 12, 25, 40 or 48 x 13.5 kg bags, and you can buy our 9 kg bags from our stockists.
Find out about Strulch on our website – www.strulch.co.uk or give me a call (01943 863610).
Happy cultivating. Jackie Whiteley.
