My adventure training expedition saw six Of cer Cadets heading to Snowdonia in North Wales for a ve day hiking adven-
ture. OCdt Smith took on the role of instructor, utilising a quali cation he had gained during adventure training with Sandhurst in April. He led the expedition, allowing myself and OCdts O’Dell, Wood, Lim and Raffoul to climb a num- ber of mountains that the Snowdonia mountain range has to offer. Once we had established camp in Llanrug, near Caernarfon, we set out for our rst trek to Elidir Fawr in Elidir Fach. The walk was local to our campsite so we were able to leave straight from there. The aim of the hike was to use the view from the top of Elidir Fawr to orientate ourselves to the area of Snowdonia and show the group where we would be walking for the remainder of the week.
