ROG PT, British Bulldogs in the snow
The summer months saw the ROG supporting the Regiment during its deployment to the UK to com- plete its Mission Specific Training. The structure of the task in Kabul was ever changing which allowed a number of B Squadron personnel to deploy to Afghanistan. They quickly caught up with the train- ing and slotted into positions in A and C Squadrons. August saw the Regiment deploy and the ROG was left in charge of Wessex Barracks. It was an odd time for everyone in the ROG as friends were waved off and the
camp suddenly became very quiet. All soldiers had to get over the disappointment of not deploying along- side the rest of the Regiment.
The first major tasks for the ROG came at the same time. A team were required to support the remainder of the Brigade’s training in England and spent five weeks away from Germany. This coincided with the last ever Leuchars Air Show. This was seen as a great opportu- nity to show Leuchars and Fife what the Regiment is
