When respected Kettering Independent Funeral Director Averil Phillips and Family opened a second office in Oundle three years ago, the aim was to provide Oundle with a fully independent funeral service located in the heart of the town.
With the same innovation and style that distinguishes their long-established Kettering office, the company chose Oundle’s historic former pub ‘The Angel’ as their new premises, transforming it to provide bereaved families with comfortable, warm and atmospheric surroundings in which to discuss their wishes for the funeral of a much-loved family member or friend.
But the surroundings are only part of the story. As Oundle Manager, Wendy Hughes,
says: “We pride ourselves on getting to know the families we work with, listening to their wishes and working alongside them to ensure that the funeral, when it comes, is exactly what they want for their loved one.”
