The following QARANC Officers were honoured in The Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2016 as an Ordinary Associate of the Royal Red Cross, Second Class:

The following QARANC SNCO and servicewoman were awarded commendations:
SSgt R Beech QARANC
Awarded AOC 2 Gp Commendation for his contribution to Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) medical training at the Defence CBRN Centre. See page 25.
LCpl TW Ndirangu QARANC Health Care Assistant – Clinical Squadron
Awarded GOC Commendation for her major contribution to the success of the Vanguard Field Hospital validation and Project HAPTIC field trial.
LCpl Ndirangu has consistently operated at a level beyond that of one so junior and she has been eager to do more.
She is an exemplar of junior leadership for her peer group and subordinates.
The success she has delivered has played a major part in ensuring that the Vanguard Field Hospital validation and the Project HAPTIC field test were successful and this will directly translate to future operational effect.
She is highly deserving of official recognition.
