 Item 6 - Chairman’s Annual Report
7. The Chairman welcomed the new President Col Karen Irvine RRC QHN L/QARANC and thanked Col David Bates for his work prior to his retirement from service earlier this year. The Chairman updated attendees on the work of the Trustees over the year with specific reference to the progress by each sub-committee. The most significant issue was the successful change to Charitable Incorporated Organisation status and the new Charity (number 1163821) that became operational from 1 January 2016. Further information was given about governance, membership, media and communications, heritage and chattels and events.
8. The Chairman thanked all the Branches and their Committees for their work over the year which clearly demonstrated the motto ‘Friendship’, and thanked the Trustees and the QARANC Gazette Editor for their commitment and support over the year. 9. A copy of the Chairman’s report is at Annex A.
Item 7 - Treasurers Report and Presentation of Audited Accounts
10. The Treasurer, Miss Cranwell-Child, reported that Treetops Chartered Accountants had inspected all accounts for the financial year 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2015.
11. It was advised that accounts were now combined and the final balance at year end for the Central Fund and the Benevolent Fund was £4,878,397.

Item 8 - Report on the investments held by the QARANC Association
14. Mr Mike Adler reported on Investments held by the QARANC Association. A detailed report is at Annex C.
Item 9 - Benevolence Report
15. The General Secretary reported on Association activity regarding applications for grants and benevolence. A detailed report is at Annex D.
Item 10 – Date of the next meeting
16. The Chairman informed the membership that the QARANC Association will be celebrating our 70th Anniversary in 2017. There are two large events being planned for March and July 2017. The membership were asked to vote if they wished for a Reunion Lunch to take place in May 2017. The membership agreed unanimously.
After note: The date for the Reunion Lunch is 6 May 2017.

Chairman’s Report
Introduction
The Chairman welcomed the new President Col Karen Irvine RRC QHN L/QARANC and thanked Col David Bates, the former President, who retired from service earlier this year.
The Chairman updated attendees on current membership
which totals 2185. The membership consists of 782 serving regular personnel (an uptake of 77%), 107 serving reservist personnel (an uptake of 14%) and 1296 retired members.
It was further advised that there were 14 Branches with South Downs Branch due to become operational in the summer.
