tion of UK’s shifting strategic and regional pri- orities. OCdts have also re-joined us after some lengthy absences, and it has been really great to welcome back OCdts from Colombia, Hungary, Paraguay, Sri Lanka and Uruguay.
The International Sword has been won by three superb OCdts this year: CC192 – OCdt Fayeq Alim from Afghanistan; CC193 – OCdt Sulaiman Al Zakwani from Oman; CC201 – OCdt Peter Thapa from Nepal. Their excellence reflects their own personal achievements, and also the col- lective strength of our internationals in training.
Our four international instructors, from America (Captains Sean Ellison and Dan Petterson), Australia (Captain Pat Walton), Pakistan (Major Rizwan Ul Hassan) and Kosovo (Captain Ismail Hoxha) have provided much colour and excel-

lence to balance the British Army dominance, flavoured by instructors from the Royal Navy, RM Commando and from the RAF Regiment. Discussions are underway for RMAS to receive a captain instructor from France, a further reflec- tion of growing relationships with St Cyr and France in the post-Brexit era.
And finally, RMAS has been delighted to host short attachments (3-6 months duration) this year from Captain Abdulrahim Alnabhani, Oman; Lieutenant Roy Yammine, Lebanon and Captain Ali Al-Tameemi, Iraq. Each of these officers has worked alongside Sandhurst Group’s G7 Train- ing team to learn more about what, and how we train. Their experiences have been taken back to their respective officer academies and serve to reinforce relationships. We are richer for their contributions.
