During 2021 Bletsoes is celebrating 140 years of serving the local community. Bletsoes was founded in 1881 by Henry H Bletsoe, who was an auctioneer based in Thrapston and Oundle; managing local estates and selling residential and agricultural properties in the area.
His son Thomas joined the firm after returning from the First World War and Bletsoes remains a family firm. Bletsoes is proud to continue to act for a number of local families and charities for over 100 years, reflecting long term relationships through the generations.
Whilst some areas of work undertaken by the firm would be recognised by Henry H Bletsoe, such as the sale of residential and rural
properties, the regular auctions at Thrapston and property management; Henry H would not be familiar with the promotion of land for development, renewable solar energy schemes and telecom masts.
Over the 140 years there have been many changes through which Bletsoes have assisted clients and whilst we are in unprecedented times awaiting the rollout of the vaccine, we are always here to help.
