Seth Anthony 1942.
Seth Kobla Anthony was born in the Gold Coast (now Ghana) in 1915. After attending teacher training college, he taught Latin, English and Maths. Enlisting as a private in the Gold Coast Territorial Force of the RWAFF, he received a one-word telegram in 1939 – ‘Mobilise!’ For the next 18 months, he was involved in the training of many of the 65,000 Ghanaians who volunteered to fight for Britain. The Gold Coast Regiment also guarded the strategic port of Takoradi, a vital staging post for the Western Desert
