Victoria Wentworth 1997.
Victoria Ann Searle Wentworth was born in Bromley
on 22nd May 1971 and educated at Queen Elizabeth’s
Grammar School and Nottingham Trent University.
She was commissioned from Sandhurst into the
Royal Logistic Corps in 1997 and, six months later,
was a troop commander attached to Headquarters
4th Armoured Brigade on NATO operations in
Kosovo. For her actions there, she was awarded the
Carmen’s Sword of Honour. This is a presentation to the outstanding RLC young officer of the year and brings with it life membership of the Worshipful Company of Carmen.
Following appointments as a squadron second in command, regimental adjutant and on the staff at the Army Officer Selection Board, she commanded a squadron in Germany before retiring in October 2005. For the next seven years, she worked for Aviva, the insurance and pension company which employs over 22,000 staff. Working initially as the business manager to the CEO, she was responsible for preparing briefings and presentations. However, she was quickly promoted to head of business development, then sales and marketing director, before becoming director of global customer strategy.
Moving to LV= Insurance, Vicki became brand and marketing director responsible for strategy, sales and marketing for two years. Moving ever upwards in the financial services market, she moved to Wesleyan Assurance Society as chief customer officer responsible for delivering the company corporate strategy. During her four years with the firm, she also became part of the Independent Advisory Panel for the Royal Military Academy, a board which advises the commandant. She was also asked to contribute to the, then, commandant, Major-General Paul Nanson’s leadership book Stand Up Straight.
In 2020, she worked with the Phoenix Group, another financial services company, as a consultant delivering brand and customer strategy, resulting in the takeover of the well-known Standard Life brand. Finally, in October 2021, she became CEO of Agria Pet Insurance. Vicki Wentworth cites her army experience and skills as the foundation for a successful career in business. She represents the dozens of female Sandhurst graduates who have forged outstanding business careers.
