Chairman’s Report – Councillor Craig Wheeler
It has been a long hot Summer
with lots of fun happening in
Thrapston. I hope that the
children of Thrapston have
settled in at school again, and
that those who started school
for the first time this term are
enjoying themselves. Not long
now until half term and before
we know it, we will be into the
Winter months. In November we
will be working with the Royal
British Legion to mark 100 years
since the end of WWI. On Remembrance Sunday, 11th November, there will
be a service by the War Memorial on Coronation Gardens at 11am, followed by a walk of Remembrance up to Thrapston Cemetery on Oundle Road. The Remembrance service in St James
Church is on Sunday 11th at 3pm. The beacon will be lit in the Peace Park in the evening of the 11th, at 7pm. You may already have seen our ‘Silent Soldier’ in Coronation Gardens, this is in tribute to the sacrifices made by all those who have served our country.
I have booked a pantomime for the families of Thrapston to look forward to. We are putting on two shows of ‘Aladdin’
of the ‘Laugh Out Loud’
Silent Soldier on Coronation Gardens

it out to the shows which will be held on Saturday 8th December. Further details to follow!
