How long have you lived in the area? I have lived in Ringstead since March 2015. I grew up living in Stanwick but moved to Rushden when I was at sixth form and then moved around the country for education and work before returning to the local area to settle.
How did you find yourself serving on the Council? I saw an advert and thought it sounded like an interesting thing to do. I travel through Thrapston everyday for work. Whilst Raunds is closer I tend to favour Thrapston for local amenities and shops.
What do you enjoy most about the role that you have? Learning more about how local government works and playing a civic role within that.
What makes the local area special to you?
It is the location where I grew up. I love the countryside but also the fact you are not too far from major cities. I think the people, on the whole, are very friendly and welcoming.
I like the fact it is an area that is a little bit forgotten/unknown around the country and therefore not over run with tourism even thought it is such a lovely area to be out and about in.
Hobbies: what do you like to do in your spare time? I run and play netball.
