Remembrance Sunday
On November 11th this year, the 100th Anniversary of the 1st World War, we are having a particularly special Service of Remembrance. It will begin at the War memorial at 10.45am and culminate at the Church where a fantastic Poppy display, created by Denfordians and Friends, can be seen. A brass band and our resident choir will enhance the occasion. Come & join us!!

Our next major event will be the Arts and Crafts Show on 12, 13 and 14 October. Why not put the date in your diary and look out for posters and flyers nearer the time.

Islip Art and Craft Show in Islip Church from Friday October 12th to Sunday 14th. Open 10am-4.30pm Friday and Saturday and 1pm to 4pm on Sunday. Large variety of art and crafts including contributions from new artists. Refreshments served throughout the 3 days. Everyone welcome
Christmas Tree Festival Islip Church
December 7th-9th. Open 10am-4.30pm Friday and Saturday and from 1pm- 4pm Sunday 9th. Refreshments served throughout the three days. Everyone welcome.

   Thank you to everyone who has been knitting all the hats for the Christmas boxes. We now have more than enough to fill our boxes for this year, and probably some for next year,
so no more hats please. We have nowhere to store them. However, if you would like to make puppets (dolls, clowns, teddy bears) we can certainly use those. Again, many thanks for all your hard work. Lesley Baden
