some exceptional new Riflemen joining the Regiment despite gapping, for vari- ous sad reasons, of the key officer recruiting post.
This report would not be complete without mentioning the hard graft that our 4 Regional Offices undertake, supporting veterans and synchronising the local effort from our 5 pillars to sustain The Rifles. In London/SE, Mrs Anne Larson- Burnett has been replaced on retirement by Mrs Jo Jackson-Wyatt, with the other 3 offices in Exeter, Shrewsbury and Pontefract steady and kept busy managing the tasks previously undertaken by 10 County Offices when we formed in 2007.
I conclude by reiterating that RHQ is here to support the 5 pillars of the Regiment and does so by incessantly looking towards innovation and more efficient ways to deliver long-established and emerging new outputs because that is within the blood of all Riflemen, and necessary as the Nation and MOD steer their way through such febrile times.
