The pandemic has now resulted in over
a million deaths around the world, a
disaster, that even 12 months ago is hard to understand. An amazing amount of economic damage has resulted from measures taken
to halt the pandemic, along with helping out people and business’s through these traumatic times. After lockdown restriction were lifted in the summer, the economy showed signs
of recovery, which has now been called into question as the R number rises.
The European Union has agreed a E750 billion recovery programme for next year.
As they continue to debate this, it could be delayed. At the time of writing this Biden and Trump continue the slanging match about the next stimulus package – time will tell, if Trump does not get in, will he accept defeat lightly?
