AND
GEM AIR
QUALITY
a breath of fresh air…
Grant Maly established GEM Air Quality Ltd
in 2009 following a short sabbatical that he
took aft er working as an air quality consultant
for an environmental consultancy in London.
What made you choose Th rapston?
As long as I have my laptop and a reliable Wi-
Fi connection, I can manage my business from
anywhere. I have lived in the area since 2010
and I moved to Th rapston in 2017 to be nearer
to family and have found it to be a wonderful
place to live. It off ers plenty of nearby amenities,
including a great tennis club, which is perfect
for me as an avid tennis player. I’m also pleased
to report that the air quality in Th rapston is

Any colleagues or do you go it alone? I go
it alone from home. No commute, no offi ce
politics, no dress code!
Highlight of your day? Being able to down
tools at 4pm and pick up my son from nursery.

M6, I feel a small sense of pride in the role I
played in improving the junction. However,
that pride is slightly overshadowed by the
