EASTER SALE
in Denford
There is to be an Easter Sale in Holy Trinity
Church, Denford, to be held on Saturday, April
26th from 10am till 12noon and includes books
and paintings donated by the late Prue Goss.
There will be a wide range of books, leather-
bound classics to modern paperbacks, local
items, and non-fiction.
Of particular interest is the selection of books
by the noted local writer and illustrator known
as ‘BB’ (also known as, D J Watkins-Pitchford)
who lived the latter years of his life at the Round
House at Sudborough until his death in 1990.
There will be a selection of prints and
paintings including original watercolours by
local artists. We hope to display the best of these
for two or three weeks before the sale at 49/51
High Street, formerly Bletsoes Estate Agency.
These paintings will be sold by secret auction;
full details of how that will work will be on
show with the paintings and in church on the
day of the sale. The photo is of a painting by
Alison Brown from Woodford, entitled Floods
at Thrapston 1998. Do come and browse, who
knows what treasures you might find.
Coffee and refreshments will be available. All
profits go towards the upkeep of our church.
