THE HISTORY OF THE ROYAL ARMY VETERINARY CORPS 1962 – 2021
fundamental to The Troop’s output, integral as it is to all aspects of the horses’ through-life care on both individual and herd-level bases.
As just one example of the high regard The Troop has for the safety of its horses, it is interesting to note that they must be in the Veterinary Officer’s direct line of sight at all times whilst working in harness. All this makes for a busy, varied, exciting and professionally rewarding assignment for those Royal Army Veterinary Corps personnel who are privileged enough to be assigned to The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery.22
