Watson was kicked by his horse and sent flying into a crowd barrier – an inauspicious start for the British Army competitors. Nevertheless, British farriers led the way with four of the top five hailing from home shores. The placings out of seventy competitors: Watson – 21st. Mercer – 23rd. Cooper – 28th.25
As the years have passed the School of Farriery has gone from strength to strength improving its
professionalism year on year.
