  RAF Wyton Airplay Update
As the seasons change at RAF Wyton Airplay, young people have benefitted from enriching experiences by relaxing with friends, having fun and learning about each other. The club includes Ben Club, Juniors, Intermediates and Seniors, all in an encouraging and welcoming environment.
We are so proud of how our young people are developing as individuals and as a group. A special commendation, and a huge thank you to Kassie, our Young Leader, who was
presented with an award on Monday 20th January. Kassie was recognised for the devoted voluntary work she does for us here at RAF Wyton Airplay. Three times a week Kassie gives up her evening to help and support our young people.
Kassie is such a positive role model and has developed so much as a mentor and as a person. Kassie’s confidence has soared since she began her voluntary work as a young leader. This has helped to improve
her whole sense of self and her wellbeing in general. In Kassie’s own words “I am much more confident now meeting new people”, which is a radical change to the young lady she was when she first started coming to the senior’s sessions.
Kassie now plans and runs activities which gives her a welcome break from the struggles of school and also gives her the opportunity to gain invaluable experience of life as a sessional youth worker.
