NEDDA
Our 45th D.A. Show was held on Sunday 8th September. The number of exhibitors and exhibits were down on the previous year’s show, but the quality of the exhibits once again was top-notch stuff. Particularly considering the prolong wet and cold winter type weather that took us from winter to summer in the North Midlands.
NEDDA would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to both judges; David Thornton and David Allison for their contributions which helped make the show a great success.
Welsh Branch Secretary Mr David Thornton is pictured presenting the
NVS Silver Medal to Phil Burgess for his excellent collection of 3 x 2’s alongside a photo of the trophy winners from left to right: Geoff Butterworth, Phil Burgess, Claire Hichen, Jeff Parsons and John Croot.
It’s congratulations to Phil Burgess
who took a clean sweep of the major trophies at the show; NVS Silver Medal, NVS Sponsored Plaque and Most Point in Show. Great effort Phil: it reflects the time, enthusiasm and commitment you afford your exhibition growing.
It’s a big thank you to all who helped in
organising the show, setting up the venue etc. and particularly to the most important ones; the wives and partners for providing the buffet and refreshments.
Looking forward:
2025 D.A. Show; Sunday 7th September, Glapwell Centre. S44 5LW
The D.A. will continue to hold their meetings at Pleasley Miners Welfare on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Our 2025 season will kick off with the A.G.M. on Wednesday 19th February.
Instead of meeting every month, again we’ve decided not to hold a meeting in June, July, August. September and December
(we don’t hold meetings in September & December anyway). A list of speakers and events for 2025 will be advertised when available in the Simply Veg magazine, NVS website and other social media.
