patrol base. The attack that was bold in its conception and brutal in its execution and the insurgents tried to follow up the detonation by over-runing the base. The well organised and courageous response of C Company and our Afghan National Army counterparts ensured that the attack was repelled with the insurgents suffering a large amount of casualties. LCpl Webb was an extremely popular and well liked member of the Company, he was also
very good at his job and his tragic loss
is still felt by us all and will be for many years to come. The patrol base remained a
