Thrapston’s got it all going on...
From their first, Carmen to their tenth opera, The Daughter of the Regiment – Thrapston Plaza Opera are still entertaining with their performances
Thrapston Plaza Opera was founded in 2010 with its first production being a performance of ‘Carmen’ in February 2011. To celebrate the tenth opera the company will again be staging ‘Carmen’ in the Plaza in February 2020.
New members are very welcome and are encouraged to come along to the AGM which will be held in St James Church Hall on Tuesday 19th March at 7.30pm.

We are knitting hats again for the Samaritans Purse and will soon run out of wool. Please can you leave any brightly coloured double knitting wools in St James Church for me to pick up if you have any to spare. Thank you. Lesley Baden

Our next sale is in aid of UK EMERGENCY SUPPORT SERVICE based in Thrapston. Check out their Facebook page. Their Mission is to provide aid and support to Front Line Emergency Services and Communities in the event of National Crisis, Public Emergency and Major Incidents.
Registration forms will be in Town Council Office or phone 01832 730019 and leave your email address and we will send you one. £5 to register.
This will be our 6th year and we have raised a good amount for our charities.
If anyone is doing refreshments please put it on your form-so we can let people know.

This year’s campaign is already under way!
In 2018 we were able to send more than 500 shoeboxes to children who have nothing.
Our first workshop, to begin preparing items for the 2019 shoeboxes will be on April 13th in St James Church.
Please make a note of the things we are collecting: soap, toothbrushes, flannels, small games, cars, notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons.
Make it a date. It’s rewarding, fun and refreshments on tap! Details to follow.
