Competitions and fundraising – the Thrapston and Raunds Rotary Club are
always busy helping our area
Congratulations to all those that took part
in the local heat of Rotary Young Musician. There were more competitors than in recent years and many enjoyable performances, which made for a very entertaining evening. Andrew Forbes, the adjudicator, had difficult decisions to make in a number of classes. The winners now have the opportunity
to go forward to the Rotary District 1070 Semi-Final. Special congratulations must
go to Thrapston Primary School Choir
who will represent this area in the Junior Choir Section. They were outstanding ambassadors for their school and a real
credit to their parents and teachers. We wish them well in the competition.
Our next charity fundraising event is held on Friday 15th March at 7.30pm when our annual Quiz Night takes place at Stanwick Village Hall. Tables of 6, Adult tickets £8, Children £5, including a hot supper. Tel: 01933 652081 for tickets and more details.

The March meeting will be on Friday 15th March at the Plaza Community Centre between 10.30am and 12 noon (Doors will open at 10am).
Our guest speaker will be Georgie Hale with the topic being Shipwrecked in Antartica
Visitors are always welcome at a cost of £2, which will include refreshments so do please come along to find out more about the U3A.
