Oundle Library has always been a warm and welcoming place to visit, and it’s now also
a registered Warm Space for anyone who is struggling to heat their home this winter. Can you help us spread the word?
A Warm Space
All of us are experiencing first-hand the effects of rising fuel prices and the cost of keeping our homes warm. For many, keeping warm can be a real challenge, especially people with disabilities, the elderly, and low-income households. And that’s where Oundle Library and other local Warm Spaces will make a real difference. Obviously Oundle Library is a wonderful
place to find and read books, search for information, use WiFi and/or a computer, and much more. But in these winter months, why not enjoy...
• Free hot drinks Tea, coffee and easy-to-
prepare soups will be available on a self-serve
basis during opening hours.
• Newspapers and magazines Use the Hublets
to read and enjoy hundreds of newspapers and magazines. The Hublets are free to use, and a member of staff will always be pleased to show you how the service works. Ask for help if you need it!
• Signposting and information Help with finding services and support that’s available, as well as advice sessions with partner organisations.
Things to do
Look out for some new things to do when you visit the library such as crosswords, Sudoku puzzles, Wordsearch, colouring, board games and jigsaw puzzles.
Groups and events
And don’t forget the range of regular library activities such as the Scrabble and craft groups, language cafés etc. Check the monthly timetable to see what’s on offer.
What’s On and when
Look out for the What’s On timetable which Oundle Library publishes each month. It tells you exactly what’s happening, and when. You can pick up a copy at the library desk or download it on the website.
We know Oundle Library is making plans
at the moment, so watch for updates and announcements. Facebook is a good place to find up-to-date information and both the Friends, and the library have pages you can check:
