will make the administration of the membership system just a little easier. By the time that you read this in January 2022, those of you who paid by card or Direct Debit in 2021 will have received notification that your 2022 subscription renewals are scheduled to be taken from your account, so a big thank you for your continued support of the NVS.
With the new on-line membership system having just passed its first anniversary, there is a small working group of Trustees looking at how the system can be improved and if there are any enhancements that could be made. It is anticipated that the final report from the group will be ready for publication to the Board of Trustees
in January 2022, who will then need to consider the recommendations made in the report. I will be reporting the outcome of this in my next Membership Report, for inclusion in the April edition of SV.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
for Horticultural Trial
Member (hobbyist inventor) would like to hear from anyone interested in trying out a novel way to grow climbing beans season 2022.
I already have one invention out on trial for growing beans on balconies and would like to trial one of similar design for open ground.
This device has been tried in two allotments (Stenhouse, Edinburgh and Bournemouth) in 2021 with exceptional yields.
