Chairman’s Report
Happy New Year To everyone.
Hopefully this year will be when we get back to normality within the Society. It’s great to see that some shows have gone ahead and a lot of DA`s are starting up their meetings and talks again. I`m also looking forward to the series of Zoom talks happening over the winter period.
Congratulations to the 4 members who sat and passed the Judges examination. Well, done for all your hard work and I look forward to seeing you all on the judging trail. I also want to say
a big thanks to all the Scottish members who contributed to setting up the exam.
Our Branch Championships held at Larbert Old Church
was a resounding success. A high number of entries and some quality exhibits were on display. One of the most pleasing points was the number of new exhibitors which only bodes well for the future. It was a different show for us in terms of timings with it being held over 1 day,
but personally I thought it was
a huge benefit having it on 1
day. Food for thought! I also managed to show at Harrogate and Malvern and a big thank you goes to the Northern Branch and Midland Branch for making us so welcome.
Unfortunately, we had to cancel the Seminar in November due to Covid concerns, however we will be back in 2022 with an even better seminar – if that’s possible!!
So, its full steam ahead for 2022. There are lots to look forward to this year, so I hope to see you at some of the Society events.
Scottish Branch - 200 Club
All Scottish Branch members will have found a 200-club entry form flier in with your copy of this magazine. For 2022 we revert back to the usual prize draw months of January to October. The prize draw is taken at the end of each month, so send your forms in soon to catch the first one.
At the time of writing, we have held 8 of the 10 prize draws for 2021 and we
would like to thank all our 200 club members. below, congratulations!

January is the perfect time to join as it’s the start of a new prize draw season and you do not have to be a Scottish Branch member (or even an NVS member) to join, so please encourage friends and family too.

Prize money is dependent on how many 200 Club members we have with half the revenue generated going towards the Scottish Branch funds and half going towards the 200 club prize money.
