To include the wider defence organisation and BAES ship builders, there have been several Glasgow Conferences held to bring all the key stakeholders together; a first in the ship building process. These conferences act as an opportunity for all the key stakeholders to meet and discuss issues surrounding the project and best practice solutions.
Sea Trials will see the ship sailing under its own power for the first time and completing various performance trials and conducting gunnery trials with the new 5” Integrated Gun System.
HMS Glasgow is set to join the fleet in 2028, and will be based out of HMNB Devonport in Plymouth.

LOTHIAN AND BORDERS BATTALION ARMY CADET FORCE
Adults and cadets of the Lothian and Borders Battalion have been taking part in various activities in the community to enrich the lives of others.
Their most recent events have been supporting Poppy Scotland through their Poppy Appeal and Poppy Sportive in the hopes of raising enough funds to support service families, veterans and those still serving.
In addition to helping such a great cause it also instils civic duty in our young people and reinforces our core value of selfless commitment.
